General Health and Fitness

In order for college students to thrive academically and keep up their general health, it's important to have a fitness routine. Physical activity and exercise have been proven to enhance college students' ability to cope with stress, academically or otherwise. College students'  health is also greatly benefited by eating a balanced diet, and by getting enough sleep.

This may seem like a lot to balance on top of school, work and other obligations, but it can be as simple as taking a short walk about campus.

  • Exercise triggers the production of positive hormones and chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which provide your body an energy boost.

Getting into a regular, healthy exercise routine will also help your body better handle energy slumps. When you're fighting through the last few minutes of an exam, this boost is greatly appreciated. When your body gets used to putting in a little additional effort, you can overcome exhaustion and maintain concentration for longer.
